Interior Ministry: Exceptional measures concluded, resuming application of legal time limits for entry stamps and leave permits

Second: Starting from September 1, 2026, the legal grace periods for absence permits for residents outside the country will be reinstated. The exceptional additional grace period will continue to apply to residents who left the country on or before August 31, 2026, in accordance with the governing regulations.

Third: The residence license verification certificate, obtained from the official and authorized Saheel Al-Maref app, determines the expiration date of the absence permit. Residents must adhere to the specified duration upon returning to the country.
