Lexus Al-Sayer Launches New RZ500e Electric Vehicle
Mohammed Nasser Al-Sayer & Sons Company, in collaboration with Lexus, has announced the launch of the all-new RZ 500e, marking the first introduction of Lexus’s fully electric all-electric vehicle (BEV) in the region. Developed from the ground up as a fully electric vehicle, the RZ 500e represents a pivotal milestone in the brand’s electrification journey, embodying the next phase of the “VOLT POWER” strategy and its commitment to achieving carbon neutrality.

Since pioneering the introduction of electrification technologies in the luxury segment with the launch of the RX 400h in 2005, Lexus has continued to balance driving performance with environmental responsibility. With the introduction of the RZ 500e, Lexus advances this philosophy into new horizons, presenting a fully electric multi-purpose vehicle that embodies its distinctive driving character and impactful design, supported by advanced electrification technologies.
Commenting on the launch of the RZ 500e, Chief Engineer of Lexus International stated, “Lexus is committed to further developing electrification technologies that enhance the core driving enjoyment and deliver new driving experiences. At Toyota’s Technical Center in Shimoyama (TTC-S), engineers and professional drivers work side by side on test tracks designed to simulate challenging road conditions, aiming to refine the vehicle’s fundamental performance with the highest level of precision. In the future, Lexus will continue to expand the boundaries of its distinctive driving experience through the seamless integration of the latest hardware components and advanced software.”

At the heart of the RZ 500e lies a completely redesigned battery-electric powertrain, developed with a strong focus on elevating the core performance elements of electric vehicles. The system features a new high-capacity lithium-ion battery and a new eAxle electric motor, which offers higher inverter efficiency.
Additionally, the battery-electric powertrain employs a water-cooling system that supports sustained performance while maintaining thermal stability. Alongside advancements in the powertrain, Lexus has elevated the driving experience through precise improvements to the e-TNGA platform, exclusively designed for battery-electric vehicles. This engineering architecture positions the battery beneath the vehicle floor, creating a low center of gravity that enhances stability, improves chassis balance, and contributes to advanced dynamic handling characteristics, while maintaining a premium level of driving comfort.
The exterior design of the RZ500e reflects the evolution of Lexus’s renowned design language in this segment, moving toward the “Spindle Body” concept.
