Al-Habashi: Enhancing the participation of people with disabilities in sports activities and programs

Al-Jahra Governor Hamad Al-Habashi emphasized the importance of giving due attention to people with disabilities within sports programs and services, and working to provide what meets their needs and enhances their participation and benefit from the province’s sports activities and facilities.
This came during the Governor’s meeting with Engineer Sara Faisal Al-Kharji, a candidate nominated by the General Authority of Sports for a seat on the Al-Jahra Provincial Council, representing the Authority.
The meeting discussed several issues related to the youth and sports sector within Al-Jahra Governorate, and ways to enhance coordination and cooperation between the Governorate and the Authority, contributing to monitoring the sector’s needs and supporting the work of the Provincial Council and its relevant committees.
For her part, Al-Kharji expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the Governor of Al-Jahra for his interest and support of the youth and sports sector, affirming her commitment to strengthening cooperation and coordination to serve the residents of the Governorate and support the work of the Provincial Council.
Separately, the Governor of Al-Jahra, during his meeting with Dr. Ali Kharibit, President of the Union of Specialized Environmental Institutions and Companies, stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination with specialized entities and institutions, contributing to supporting environmental initiatives, mitigating negative environmental manifestations, and improving the environmental standards across various areas of the Governorate.
The meeting addressed several environmental issues and topics relevant to Al-Jahra Governorate, and discussed the “Environmentally Sustainable Governorate” initiative, exploring ways to cooperate and leverage the capacities of specialized environmental institutions and companies to serve the initiative’s objectives and support efforts aimed at enhancing environmental sustainability in the Governorate.
