Fawziya Al-Ali to "Al-Rai": "Cultural Summer"... An Important Annual Space for Creative Engagement

Fawziya Al-Ali, head of cultural activities at the “Summer Cultural Season 18” festival, confirmed that this year’s festival offers a diverse cultural program that reflects the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters’ commitment to ensuring that culture is present and accessible to all segments of society.

In a statement to Al-Rai, Al-Ali said, “We have strived in the cultural activities to present events that bring together thought, literature, arts, and interactive workshops, with special attention to national identity, Kuwaiti creatives, children, and youth, alongside hosting a select group of intellectuals and specialists.”

She added that this year’s festival slogan, “With Culture, We Return Stronger,” aligns with the nature of the current phase, particularly following the exceptional circumstances the country has experienced. The cultural events resonated with the message of this slogan, underscoring the role of culture in strengthening national belonging, reinforcing values of solidarity and cohesion among citizens, and expressing the unity of Kuwaiti society under all circumstances.
