Kuwait Youth Team Plays Friendly Against Iraq

Kuwait’s youth national football team will face Iraq in a friendly match tomorrow, Wednesday, in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, as part of a training camp organized by the “Young Blues” that runs until the 28th of this month, in preparation for the Group 7 qualifiers of the AFC U-20 Asian Cup, hosted by Cambodia.

Kuwait is preparing for the Group 7 qualifiers, beginning their campaign with a tough match against Japan, a strong contender for qualification, on August 31 at 12:00 PM Kuwait time. They will then face Yemen on September 3 at the same time, and conclude their matches against hosts Cambodia on September 6 at 3:00 PM.

The technical staff of the “Young Blues,” led by Croatian coach Vedro Milin, are aiming to get the most out of the friendly, especially since it will be against a strong opponent featuring talented players, providing Kuwait’s squad with a valuable opportunity for competitive exposure.

Kuwait had lost both of their friendly matches against visiting Jordan by the same scoreline, 1-0, before departing for Bangkok.
