Al-Sahel to the Zain Premier League

With a 0-0 draw against Al-Salibikhaat on Monday, Sahel secured its spot in the Premier League for next season, concluding the twentieth round of the “Zain League” First Division, which resumed matches from the previous season.

“Sons of Abu Halifa” benefited from Yarmouk’s unexpected loss to Al-Jazira, 0-2.

Sahel moved to the top of the table with 44 points, three points ahead of Al-Salibikhaat and four ahead of Yarmouk. Al-Jazira’s goals were scored by Talal Al-Ajmi (65th minute) and Mohammed Al-Rabie (90+8th minute). The race for the second promotion spot remains wide open among Al-Salibikhaat, Yarmouk, and fourth-placed Al-Jazira, which has 38 points.

In the final round on Thursday, Sahel will face Yarmouk, while Al-Salibikhaat will play against Al-Jazira. Al-Salibikhaat will secure promotion if they win. If they draw or lose and Yarmouk wins, Yarmouk will be promoted.

Al-Jazira’s only chance is to defeat Al-Salibikhaat and surpass them on head-to-head results, provided Yarmouk loses.

In two non-competitive matches, Khaitan defeated Sporty 5-0, and Burqan beat Al-Shamiya 4-1.
