Al-Qadisiya concludes its training camp

The Kuwaiti national team delegation will return to the country tomorrow, Tuesday, aboard Jazeera Airways, after concluding a training camp in the Turkish cities of Yalova and Izmit in preparation for the new season. The team is set to kick off the campaign next week against Al-Fahaheel in the opening round of the top-tier Zain League.
The “Yellow” side concluded its friendly matches at the camp on Monday with a 3-2 defeat to Bahraini club Al-Khalidiya. The two goals for Kuwait were scored by Omani international Abdulrahman Al-Meshfari and Khalid Al-Kharqaoui.
Prior to that, the team drew 1-1 with Saudi side Al-Zulfi, played to a 0-0 draw with Algerian club WA Tlemcen, and defeated Saudi club Al-Orobah 3-1.
The friendly against Al-Khalidiya featured Nigerian winger Gabriel Urok, who joined the camp in the final days, playing in attack alongside Eid Al-Rashidi and Omani striker Abdulrahman Al-Meshfari.
Later, coach Ibrahim gave opportunities to several other players to participate in the second half, including second-goal scorer Khalid Al-Kharqaoui.
The technical staff, led by veteran manager Mohammed Ibrahim, is expected to have finalized the squad for the season after dropping four players from the current roster of 32.
Meanwhile, Al-Fahaheel concluded its training camp in the Egyptian city of Alexandria on Sunday with a 6-1 victory over third-division side You Club, ahead of their return home to begin the final preparation phase for the new season.
Al-Fahaheel played three other matches during the camp, drawing 1-1 with Al-Sekka Al-Hadid, losing 3-1 to Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab, and suffering a 2-0 defeat to Smouha.
The team’s coach, Slovakian Mart Seifla, who replaced Syrian Firas Al-Khatib this summer, expressed satisfaction with the camp’s outcomes. He said, “I am pleased with this camp. We played four matches against good Egyptian clubs. The hotel and facilities were ideal, and everything was prepared for the players and technical staff to work effectively.”
Seifla emphasized that the team showed improvement during the camp and stressed his focus on starting the league campaign strongly, particularly in the first three matches. “I believe we are ready for the league to begin,” he added.
