First Semester Study Period: 15 Weeks for Primary, 14 for Kindergarten, and 13 for Intermediate and Secondary

The Ministry of Education has approved the academic plan for the first semester of the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year for the four educational stages. The plan spans 14 weeks for kindergarten, 15 weeks for the primary stage, and 13 weeks each for the middle and secondary stages.

The Administration issued a bulletin on the academic plan for religious education, specifying 15 weeks for the primary stage and 11 weeks each for the middle and secondary stages. For literacy centers and adult education, the plan was set at 12 weeks for the first, second, and third literacy levels and the middle stage, and 13 weeks for the secondary stage.

The bulletin outlined the academic plan for special education schools, including 17 weeks for intellectual education, and 12 weeks each for intellectual education rehabilitation and educational workshops. It also specified 14 weeks for autism behavioral schools and 17 weeks for Al-Wafa schools.

Regarding Al-Raja, Al-Amal, and Al-Noor schools, the bulletin stated that the academic plan comprises 15 weeks for the primary stage and 13 weeks each for the middle and secondary stages. It confirmed that the model for the first-semester curriculum distribution plan would be uploaded to the "Teams" platform.

It was clarified that the curriculum distribution plan is prepared by the relevant educational guidance specialists and is not published until reviewed and approved by the General Administration of Educational Guidance, Research, and Curricula. No additions, cancellations, or modifications may be made without referring to the General Administration of Educational Guidance, Research, and Curricula. The plan is subject to modification based on updates, holidays, and school breaks.

In a related development, the educational guidance departments are putting the final touches on the training plan for educational staff, which will be implemented through training centers under the supervision of the Ministry’s Development and Enhancement Administration.

The training plan lasts one week. Two days were allocated for educational guidance specialists on Sunday and Monday, September 6 and 7, while three days were reserved for department heads from Tuesday to Thursday, September 8 to 10, serving as the foundation for training teaching staff within schools.

The plan aims to prepare the educational field for implementing the developed curriculum for the tenth grade at the start of the upcoming academic year, alongside curricula developed for grades one through nine, ensuring that training programs reach all targeted educational groups.

Through these programs, the Ministry seeks to enhance the readiness of the educational field and strengthen the capacity of educational staff to handle the developed curricula efficiently, thereby positively impacting the quality of the educational process and its outcomes.
