Al-Sayer Group provided practical training to 100 students

Reaffirming its steadfast commitment to supporting youth and developing national talent, Alshaya Group, in collaboration with the Public Authority for Manpower, successfully concluded its annual summer training program, which provided approximately 100 Kuwaiti students with opportunities for practical training and professional development during their summer break.
The program spanned four weeks, enabling students to gain hands-on experience across the hospitality and entertainment, fashion, and health and wellness sectors, as well as in various head office departments within Alshaya Group. This was achieved through training opportunities at several of the Group’s leading brands and at different locations, including Starbucks, H&M, Foot Locker, American Eagle, New Balance, Milano, Victoria’s Secret, Moji, Next, KidZania, The Cheesecake Factory, Rising Kings, Shake Shack, Primark, Harvey Nichols, Alo Yoga, and McDonald’s.
Throughout the program, students acquired practical experience in customer service, sales, product presentation, store operations, communication, and teamwork, allowing them to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world work environment while developing valuable professional skills. Students who successfully completed the program received certificates of completion, recognizing their commitment, contributions, and professionalism throughout the training period.
Commenting on the program, Dina Hamoud, Deputy Head of Human Resources for the Middle East and North Africa region at Alshaya Group, said: “We are committed to providing opportunities that equip Kuwaiti youth with the practical skills, professional experience, and confidence necessary for success in their future careers. Our partnership with the Public Authority for Manpower reflects our shared commitment to nurturing national talent, and we are proud to continue our role in empowering a new generation of promising Kuwaiti professionals.”
Since launching its partnership with the Public Authority for Manpower in 2007, Alshaya Group has continued to host Kuwaiti students in its stores and offices through its annual summer training program, providing hands-on work experience that complements their academic education and introduces them to career opportunities available in the retail sector.
