GCC Secretary-General: International community must pressure Iran to halt hostile actions

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al-Budaiwi, expressed his strong condemnation and outrage over the continued and repeated Iranian attacks on tankers belonging to the UAE’s ADNOC company and commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement, Al-Budaiwi said that these brazen targeting operations constitute an unacceptable escalation and a serious violation of the security and safety of maritime navigation, emphasizing the need for Iran to immediately halt all hostile acts that threaten security and stability in the region and worldwide.
Al-Budaiwi called on the international community to pressure Iran to cease these hostile actions, reaffirming the GCC’s full and steadfast solidarity with the United Arab Emirates, its support for the UAE, and its backing of all measures taken by the UAE to protect its security, territorial sovereignty, and interests.
