Youth National Team Begins Camp in Bangkok

The Kuwait youth national football team held its first training session in the Thai capital, Bangkok, the day after arriving for a final training camp running until the 28th of this month, in preparation for the Group 7 matches of the under-20 Asian Cup qualifiers, hosted by Cambodia.
The Asian Football Confederation had previously announced the Group 7 qualifying schedule, under which Kuwait will begin their campaign with a tough match against Japan, strong contenders for qualification, at 12:00 PM Kuwait time on August 31. They will then face Yemen at the same time on September 3, and conclude their group stage with a match against hosts Cambodia at 3:00 PM on September 6.
Meanwhile, the Kuwait national team for players born in 2013 (Academy Al-Azraq) defeated Azerbaijani club Qarabağ 2-1 in a friendly match as part of their training camp in Azerbaijan.
The team for players born in 2012 also defeated their Azerbaijani counterparts 3-2, with goals scored by Khaled Al-Husseini (two goals) and Abdullah Al-Sana.
