First Deputy Visits the Two Injured Children at Adan Hospital and Checks on Their Health Condition

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, visited the two injured children at Adan Hospital on Friday to check on their health condition and monitor the progress of their treatment, following their stabbing with a sharp object by their mother, which resulted in their injuries and hospitalization for medical care. Security authorities have since apprehended the suspect and taken the necessary legal measures against her.
During the visit, Al-Yousef reviewed the children’s health status and listened to a briefing from the treating medical team regarding their condition and the treatment plan in place. He directed that all necessary medical care and attention be provided to the children, with continuous monitoring of their health.
He also commended the efforts of the medical staff in providing care and treatment to the children, emphasizing the importance of ensuring all necessary resources are available to complete their treatment. Meanwhile, the relevant departments within the Ministry of Interior continue to conduct investigations and carry out the required legal procedures concerning the incident.
Al-Yousef stressed that the Ministry of Interior will not tolerate any acts or crimes that threaten societal security and family safety, underscoring the importance of raising family awareness and parental responsibility in protecting children. He affirmed that such incidents will be met with firmness, and the law will be applied to all without exception.
