Egypt and Pakistan reaffirm the importance of close coordination to enhance regional stability and security

Egypt and Pakistan reaffirmed today their shared commitment to continuing consultations and close coordination in the coming period, particularly within the framework of the four-party regional mechanism, to support efforts aimed at enhancing regional stability and security.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that this came during a phone call received by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Dr. Badr Abdelatty from Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, as part of a shared commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and maintaining continuous coordination and consultation on regional developments.

The statement clarified that the call featured an exchange of views on several regional files, foremost among them developments in the region, efforts to de-escalate tensions and restore calm, as well as regional security arrangements.

In this context, both countries also reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts to elevate bilateral cooperation across various political, economic, trade, and investment fields, and to explore new horizons for partnership between the two countries, thereby advancing bilateral cooperation to broader levels and achieving the shared interests of both countries and their peoples.
