Mohamed bin Zayed and Hamad bin Isa discussed fraternal relations and regional developments

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa discussed in Abu Dhabi “the fraternal relations and various avenues of cooperation and joint efforts, as well as ways to strengthen them, particularly in economic and developmental fields that serve the development priorities and shared interests of the two brotherly countries.”

The official WAM News Agency reported on Wednesday evening that the two sides “reviewed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, exchanging views on them, foremost among which were developments in the Middle East region and the efforts undertaken to enhance regional stability and security for the benefit of all the peoples and states of the region.”

Mohamed bin Zayed and Hamad bin Isa “expressed their pride in the solid fraternal relations binding the two countries,” emphasizing “their commitment to continuing to strengthen joint efforts, particularly in light of the shared challenges facing the region, which require solidarity and cooperation to confront them.”

For his part, the Bahraini King appreciated “the UAE’s steadfast fraternal positions toward Bahrain under all circumstances, which have contributed to enhancing the Kingdom’s efforts and capacity to face various challenges.”

In a phone call, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan exchanged views on recent developments in the region, stressing “the importance of respecting the rules of international law, and safeguarding the security, safety, and freedom of international navigation.”
