Kuwait’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry Posts KWD 4.7 Million Profit in First Half, Up 22.8%

AbdulFatah Ma’arfi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Al Moutahara Real Estate (a company in which the Commercial Real Estate Company holds a 79.2 percent stake), stated that the business results for the financial period ending June 30, 2026, yielded net profits of KD 4,720,005, representing a 22.8 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Commenting on the financial results, Ma’arfi confirmed that the achieved outcomes reflect growth in operational performance and a notable increase in investment revenues, supported by the continued implementation of the company’s strategy aimed at maintaining a diversified real estate and investment portfolio and enhancing operational efficiency. Regarding financial indicators, there was a significant improvement, with growth in return on equity, return on assets, and return on capital reaching 18.9 percent, 30.8 percent, and 22.8 percent, respectively, compared to the same period last year. The Board of Directors also decided to distribute semi-annual cash dividends for 2026 at a rate of 4 percent, amounting to 4 fils per share.

Ma’arfi added that the company continues its operations in accordance with a balanced strategy focused on diversifying its real estate investments in terms of size, nature, and geographic distribution, thereby contributing to achieving a balance between risks and returns and enhancing the company’s financial sustainability. Within the framework of this strategy, Al Moutahara invested in the Logistics and Transportation Center in the state of Texas, United States of America.

Al Moutahara is also continuing to implement its development plans for its real estate projects, most notably the expansion project of the Al Rehab Complex. This project aims to develop facilities and services by adding new rentable spaces, thereby enhancing the experience of visitors and tenants and reinforcing the complex’s position as an integrated commercial destination, in line with the company’s future vision to develop its real estate assets and achieve sustainable long-term growth.
