Increased Demand for Warships in the Middle East

Frankfurt – Reuters – Oliver Burckhardt, chief executive of TKMS, a warship-building company, said the firm is seeing increased demand from the Middle East in the wake of the Iran war, pointing to mine countermeasures technology as one area where this trend is evident.

Burckhardt added after presenting nine-month results on Wednesday, “We have never seen this kind of demand before... and we can probably all agree that the security narrative in this region has changed somewhat.”
