From the Invasion to Today... Kuwait Does Not Break
What is happening in the region today serves no one’s interests and cannot be a path to achieving security and stability. Yet, as the saying goes, “a harm may yield a benefit,” these circumstances have prompted Kuwait and other countries in the region to accelerate their plans, diversify their options, and develop alternatives that ensure the continuity of trade and energy flows, safeguard the region’s assets, and secure the delivery of oil shipments free from any threat or coercion.
Throughout this crisis, the government and the people have demonstrated that the slogan “Kuwait First” is not merely words, but a firm stance revealed in times of hardship. Unity, rallying around the leadership, and standing together as one front in the face of risks are what Kuwait needs today more than ever.
Kuwait has never been an aggressor or a source of harm; rather, it is a peaceful nation that believes in good neighborliness, respects the sovereignty of states, and consistently strives to build relationships based on mutual respect and non-interference in others’ affairs.
The accusations leveled against Kuwait to justify attacks are nothing more than a scapegoat used to mask unjustified acts of aggression. Kuwait does not seek confrontation, but at the same time, it will not hesitate to defend its land, sovereignty, security, and the safety of its people.
Kuwait has the right to defend itself and to take all necessary measures to ensure its security and stability. It also has the right to call upon its neighbors to uphold good neighborliness and respect its sovereignty, free from empty rhetoric and baseless accusations that yield no benefit.
Kuwait, which has overcome severe trials in its history, is capable, God willing, of surmounting this crisis as well, provided its people remain united, its leadership resolute, and Kuwait’s interests, security, and stability remain above all else.
From the invasion to the present day, Kuwait has not broken and will remain impervious to anyone attempting to undermine its security or destabilize it.
