One Win and Three Defeats for the "Beach Plane"

Kuwait’s men’s and women’s beach volleyball teams opened their participation in the second round of the West Asia Championship, held in Byblos, northern Lebanon, yesterday, Monday, with mixed results.

In the women’s competition, the Kuwaiti team (B), featuring players Dana bin Salama and Janan Al-Salem, defeated their Lebanese counterparts 2-0. Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti team (A), comprising Alaa Al-Bahou and Halima Al-Rashid, lost to the Lebanese team by the same scoreline.

In the men’s competition, the Kuwaiti team (A), with players Abdulwahab Talib and Meshal Al-Omar, lost to Iraq 2-0. The Kuwaiti team (B), featuring Barak Khasrouh and Ibrahim Diaa, also lost to Lebanon by the same score.

The second round of the West Asia Championship features prominent Arab national teams, including Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, and host nation Lebanon. The tournament holds significant importance for developing the sport at the regional level and qualifying participating teams for continental and international championships.
