The General Authority for Children’s Affairs organized a recreational event and “Jeopardy” quiz competitions for its minor wards under its care, as part of the government program for family protection. This activity is part of a series of summer events and initiatives that the Authority is keen to organize to make productive use of the children’s free time, thereby benefiting them.
The event was held under the patronage and attendance of the Acting Director General of the Authority, Aliya Al-Saqer, and took place at the Authority’s main building over two days. The first day, Tuesday, was dedicated to girls, while the second day, Wednesday, was for boys.
The event witnessed notable participation and engagement from the minors under the Authority’s care, characterized by enthusiasm and competition. The competitions included a diverse range of questions and activities lasting approximately four hours, which contributed to developing knowledge and mental capabilities, as well as enhancing communication skills, teamwork, and positive interaction among participants.
Al-Saqer emphasized that organizing such events stems from the Authority’s commitment to providing high-quality programs for its wards that combine entertainment with educational value, offering them a positive social environment that helps develop their skills and abilities. She noted that utilizing free time during the summer vacation represents one of the key objectives of the programs implemented by the Authority.
She added that recreational and cultural activities contribute to strengthening social communication and interaction among minors, developing their thinking and knowledge skills, and instilling a spirit of cooperation and healthy competition, which positively impacts their personalities and boosts their self-confidence.
She further indicated that the Authority continues to implement a variety of programs and activities targeting its wards, in line with its mission to provide comprehensive care and to enhance the level of services and programs offered to meet their needs across different age groups.
