Qatar: Talks between Oman and Iran on the Strait of Hormuz have reached an advanced stage

Qatar confirmed that ongoing talks between the Sultanate of Oman and Iran on the current situation have “reached an advanced stage,” stating that negotiations are currently at a “critical juncture.”

Majid Al-Ansari, spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said at a press conference held in Doha on Tuesday that Qatar has received “positive feedback from Oman and Iran,” emphasizing Doha’s support for “all efforts to de-escalate tensions.”

Regarding developments in Palestine, Al-Ansari noted that Qatar “relies on the international community to pressure Israel to implement the Gaza agreement.”
