Syrian Court Issues Death Sentences in Absentia for Bashar and Maher al-Assad, Orders International Prosecution

The court in Damascus sentenced in absentia the former head of political security in Daraa, Atef Najib, to death, and sentenced other fugitives in absentia for committing war crimes, murder, torture, and crimes against humanity against the Syrian people.
