"Stars of the Homeland"... Honored for Their Achievements
The first edition of the “Stars of the Nation” Forum honored a select group of artists, media personalities, and public figures who contributed to serving the country across various fields, in recognition of their outstanding contributions and efforts. The evening transformed the Grand Cinema hall in the Al Hamra complex into a star-studded venue, hosting a national and artistic evening that brought together a distinguished gathering of national, artistic, media, and sports figures.
Held under the auspices of the Kuwaiti Union of Artists and Journalists, the initiative aimed to celebrate national talents and highlight Kuwaiti models who left clear imprints in the fields of media, art, sports, culture, and community service.
Speaking to Al-Rai, Dr. Nabil Al-Filakawi, President of the Kuwaiti Union of Artists and Journalists, stated that the Union’s hosting of the forum stems from its belief in the importance of supporting initiatives that spotlight creators and achievers, and that foster a culture of appreciation and gratitude toward all who contributed to serving Kuwait and elevating its name across various domains.
He added, “We are pleased that the Stars of the Nation Forum is held under the umbrella of the Kuwaiti Union of Artists and Journalists. This forum carries a beautiful and important message: appreciating the creative Kuwaiti individual, celebrating their contributions, and affirming that the successes achieved in art, media, sports, culture, and other fields are part of a national journey that deserves our attention.”
He clarified that the honors were not merely a celebratory moment, but a recognition of a journey, effort, and contribution. He noted that the honored figures represented honorable models of Kuwaiti competence, and that celebrating them served as an incentive for new generations to continue the path of creativity and excellence.
Meanwhile, Jamal Al-Adwani, President of the Stars of the Nation Forum, emphasized that the significant success of the forum and the large attendance in the hall confirmed that Kuwait is rich with energies and stars who deserve appreciation and celebration. He pointed out that the idea behind the forum arose from the conviction that honoring achievers is a celebration of success and contribution stories that deserve to reach future generations.
Al-Adwani stated that the forum was not merely an event to honor names, but a message affirming that the nation unites us, creativity unites us, and contribution is the language that endures.
The evening featured several artistic and dialogue segments that addressed the role of art, media, and content creation in strengthening national identity.
