"Combating": 12 suspects arrested in 8 drug cases

The General Directorate for the Suppression of Narcotics arrested 12 suspects across eight separate cases, following a series of surveillance and investigative operations that uncovered their involvement in possessing narcotics and psychoactive substances with the intent to traffic and consume them.

In one of the cases, in joint coordination with the General Customs Authority, one of the suspects was apprehended after receiving a shipment imported from abroad. It was discovered that the narcotics had been concealed within decorative panels. When confronted with the seized items, the suspect admitted that he had received instructions from an individual located outside the country to receive the shipment in exchange for a monetary payment.
