German Interior Minister Warns of Daily Hybrid War Following Airport Attack

A report quoted German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt as saying on Sunday that Germany faces daily hybrid warfare attacks from abroad, following a suspected attack involving an explosive-laden drone at Leipzig/Halle Airport.
Dobrindt told the Bild am Sonntag newspaper that foreign powers seek to subjugate Germany politically and socially by instilling fear.
He added, “We are not at war, but we are a daily target of hybrid warfare… Espionage, sabotage, cyberattacks, or covert operations conducted by foreign powers aimed at destabilizing Germany or causing direct harm to it are an accepted reality.”
After an explosive-laden drone was discovered at an airport in eastern Germany on Tuesday, some German lawmakers pointed fingers at Russia, which has been waging war against Ukraine since its military invasion in 2022.
