Five climbers missing last year found dead in Nepal

Rescue teams in Nepal have recovered the bodies of five climbers, including three foreigners, swept away by snowslides last year on Mount Yalung Ri near the Tibetan border, a local official announced today.

The official from the Gorkha district, Bishwash Karki, told AFP, “Five bodies were found, three foreigners and two Nepalis, who had been missing since last November.”

The climbers were swept away by snowslides in November 2025 on the slopes of Mount Yalung Ri, which stands at 5,630 meters and is located on the border between Nepal and Tibet.
