Asian Olympic Committee Strengthens Cooperation with the Caribbean Region

The Olympic Council of Asia signed an agreement on Friday in the Spanish city of Barcelona with the Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees, aiming to enhance sports cooperation between the Asian continent and the Caribbean region.
The agreement provides for the exchange of expertise in organizing sports events, athlete development, and leveraging sports knowledge, alongside organizing joint scientific sports seminars and conferences between the two parties.
The agreement will be valid for six years, from 2026 to 2032, with the possibility of extension by mutual consent of both parties.
Sheikh Joaan, who also serves as President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, said, “We will exchange information, knowledge, and expertise in the field of sports development.”
