Al-Jazeera launches its first flights to Deir ez-Zor
On Saturday, Jazeera Airways, the leading low-cost carrier in Kuwait, operated its inaugural flight to Deir ez-Zor, a move that strengthens its route network in Syria and makes it the only airline offering direct flights between Kuwait and three Syrian cities.
The inaugural flight saw strong demand, reflecting the need for direct services between Kuwait and Deir ez-Zor. The first passengers were welcomed by Tammam Madani, Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Arab Republic Embassy in Kuwait, and Andrew Littledale, Head of Finance at Jazeera Airways. Traditional Syrian coffee and a selection of local delicacies were served during the check-in process.
Commenting on the occasion, Tammam Madani, Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Arab Republic Embassy in Kuwait, said: “The launch of the first direct flight between Kuwait and Deir ez-Zor marks a significant new milestone in the ongoing efforts to strengthen the established ties between Syria and Kuwait. We appreciate Jazeera Airways’ continued commitment to reconnecting our communities and providing greater convenience, ease of travel, and options for passengers through its expanding network of destinations in Syria.”

With the addition of Deir ez-Zor, Jazeera Airways has become the sole airline operating direct flights between Kuwait and Damascus, Aleppo, and Deir ez-Zor. The carrier currently operates 26 weekly flights between Kuwait and Syria, offering the highest number of services in the market and catering to the needs of families, business travelers, and visitors between the two countries.
