Saudi Foreign Minister: "Mecca Joint Defense Agreement" will positively impact the entire region and pave the way for a secure future with enhanced opportunities for development and prosperity

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said that the “Mecca Joint Defense Agreement,” signed today by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, “reflects the shared political will of the three countries to safeguard security and stability, and to support a safer regional environment, in service of our nations and peoples, with positive repercussions for the entire region, and paving the way for a secure future that enhances opportunities for development and prosperity.”

He added via the ministry’s account on X that “the signing of the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement by His Highness the Crown Prince, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Turkey, and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan underscores the depth of the fraternal and strategic relations among the three countries, and marks an important milestone in their defense cooperation journey, culminating in a shared desire to unite efforts to confront challenges and threats affecting the security and stability of the region.”
