$5 million contribution from 5 companies to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund

In line with the continued engagement of private sector institutions with national initiatives, the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced the receipt of a new batch of contributions to the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund, comprising five cash contributions, each valued at one million US dollars, from Mohammed bin Yousif Al-Nassif & Partners, Warba Insurance and Reinsurance Company, Arzan Financial Group, Kuwait Real Estate Company, and International Financial Consulting Holding Company.

In a press statement, the Fund noted that these contributions come amid the sustained momentum witnessed by the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund since its launch, with an expanding circle of national institutions supporting the initiative, reflecting growing awareness of the importance of investing in strengthening national preparedness.

The Fund added that private sector contributions constitute a fundamental pillar in supporting the national response system, by providing the necessary resources to enhance preparedness levels, strengthen the country’s resilience, and enable relevant authorities to implement priority projects efficiently and effectively, thereby reinforcing the values of national responsibility and integration between the public and private sectors.

It is worth noting that the Kuwait Emergency Response Fund was established through an initiative by the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, following approval by the Council of Ministers, with the Kuwait Fund tasked with managing and overseeing its operations, aiming to enhance institutional resilience, improve the efficiency of national response, and empower relevant authorities to confront challenges and emergency situations efficiently and effectively.
