KUNA – The Meteorology Department predicted that the country will be affected by hot, dry, dust-laden winds, with weather generally expected to be very hot during the weekend days, hot to warm at night, and humid to moderately humid on Saturday evening, particularly in coastal areas.

Deputy Director of the Department, Derrar Al-Ali, stated that weather maps and numerical models indicate the country will be influenced by an extension of the Indian monsoon low, accompanied by a hot and dry air mass. Winds will be light to moderate from the northwest, occasionally strengthening and raising dust, especially in exposed areas, before relative humidity returns on Saturday evening.

Al-Ali added that on Friday daytime, the weather will be very hot with light to moderate northwest to variable winds ranging between 10 and 35 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 48 and 50 degrees Celsius, while the sea will be calm to slightly rough, with wave heights between 1 and 4 feet.

He noted that Friday night will be hot to warm, with light to moderate northwest winds ranging between 12 and 35 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be calm to slightly rough, with wave heights between 2 and 5 feet.

Regarding Saturday daytime, Al-Ali said the weather will be very hot and relatively humid in coastal areas, with light to moderate northwest to variable winds ranging between 8 and 35 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 46 and 48 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be calm to slightly rough, with wave heights between 1 and 4 feet.

He pointed out that Saturday night will be hot to warm and relatively humid, particularly in coastal areas, with light to moderate variable to southeast winds ranging between 10 and 30 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be calm to slightly rough, with wave heights between 1 and 4 feet.
