Mishari Al-Faraj to Al-Rai: "Awad"... A Saudi experience I am proud of

Saudi artist Mishary Al-Faraj expressed his delight at joining the eight-episode Saudi seasonal drama series “Awad,” which is being produced in Kuwait under the direction of Khalid Al-Rifai, whom he described as a skilled director with a distinctive artistic vision.

Al-Faraj emphasized that the project represents a significant addition to his artistic career, as it is a Saudi dramatic experience that brings together a group of the Kingdom’s leading stars, including Faiz bin Jarras, Muneer Bakheet, Sultan Al-Nafisa, Abbar Faisal, Fahd Al-Abduli, Hamad Farhan, and Sara Khanakar.

He added, “Being part of this distinguished team and working under the direction of Khalid Al-Rifai is a golden opportunity that I deeply value, given his extensive experience, clear and distinctive vision, and his ability to deliver a work characterized by suspense and high quality.”

He continued, “Another key factor that encouraged me to undertake this experience was the script, written with great professionalism by Egyptian screenwriter Mahab Tarek. It offers a compelling dramatic treatment and presents a different story that relies on suspense and escalating events, adding value to the production and giving characters room to interact with the narrative.”

Regarding his role, he refrained from going into too much detail, saying, “I cannot delve deeply into the specifics of the character I will portray. All I can reveal at this point is that I will appear before viewers as the character ‘Fares.’ I truly hope this experience will win the audience’s approval, especially since the series ‘Awad’ as a whole presents a unique concept and relies on an intense dramatic rhythm. With only eight episodes, every detail is crucial in building the plot and characters.”

Concluding his remarks, Al-Faraj noted that “Awad,” produced by Allover Group, exemplifies Saudi dramatic works that bet on delivering distinct content. He said, “Having this group of Saudi artists in one project adds extra value to the experience, and I look forward to the work meeting the audience’s expectations.”
