President of the Jordanian Football Association: FIFA pays the 'Nashama' their financial dues after an 8-month delay

The President of the Jordanian Football Association, Prince Ali bin Hussein, stated that “the management of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) unexpectedly transferred, on Thursday morning, the financial dues owed to the players and technical staff of the Jordanian national team for reaching the final of the Arab Cup, which was organized by FIFA last December.” He noted that “these dues were supposed to have been paid eight months ago.”

In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, he said that the payment of the dues to the “Nashama” (the Jordanian national team) constitutes “a positive development for the players, but it does not change the serious concerns shared by those working in the football world regarding the leadership of FIFA, nor does it alter the difficulties previously faced by national football associations.” He added that “what happened is an example of the challenges everyone faces, which are often linked to the elections for the presidency of FIFA.”

He affirmed that “this development does not change my clear stance regarding FIFA’s leadership,” clarifying that he will not support Infantino and will not vote for him.
