Pakistan: Hope that agreement on 'Hormuz' leads to resumption of talks between Tehran and Washington

Pakistan expressed hope in a statement issued by its Foreign Ministry today that the agreement concerning the Strait of Hormuz would lead to the resumption of talks between the United States and Iran, as part of a memorandum of understanding to which Islamabad contributed by mediating its conclusion.
Tareen Andrabi, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, told journalists, “We hope that the agreement on the strait will pave the way for continuing dialogue, particularly the resumption of technical-level talks between Iran and the United States.”
