Al-Yarmouk and Salibikhaet continue to lead the First Division

Competition in the Zain First Division football league continues with four matches scheduled for the 17th round on Thursday and Friday, which could see shifts in the top positions, as has happened in previous rounds.

The joint leaders, Al-Yarmouk and Al-Salhiyah, both with 35 points, aim on Friday to maintain their grip on top spot, and possibly take sole possession of it if their current rival falters. Al-Yarmouk will face Khaitan (18 points) at Jaber Al-Ahmad Stadium, while Al-Salhiyah will play against Burqan (15 points) at Nasser Al-Attiyah Stadium.

Meanwhile, the third-placed team, with 34 points, hopes that the results of this round will work in its favor when it faces last-placed Sporty (3 points) at Jaber Al-Ahmad Stadium on Thursday. The team lost its top position earlier this week after drawing with Burqan.

Not far from the heart of the competition, fifth-placed Al-Jazira, with 31 points, also looks forward to surpassing Al-Shamya (10 points) at Nasser Al-Attiyah Stadium on Thursday, aiming to stay close to the top three.
