Juventus defeats Chelsea in friendly match in Hong Kong

Hong Kong – AFP – Italian club Juventus defeated English side Chelsea 1-0 in a friendly match played here on Wednesday, as both teams prepare for the upcoming season.

Kosovo national team player Edon Zhegrova scored the only goal of the match in the 68th minute, guiding Juventus to victory in one of their key pre-season fixtures this summer.

Juventus will continue their preparations for the new season with two more friendlies against fellow Italian clubs Inter Milan on August 8, followed by a match against Palermo on August 11.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will face Italian side Milan on August 8, before playing Malaysian club Johor Darul Ta'zim the following day. The matches will feature different lineups, as part of Spanish manager Xabi Alonso’s plan to give as many players as possible a chance to play before the season begins.
