Strengthening cooperation with the Chemical Weapons Ban

Abdulaziz Al-Jarallah, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Permanent Representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), presented his credentials to OPCW Director-General Sabrina D’Amico at the Organisation’s headquarters in The Hague.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Kuwaiti Embassy in The Hague said that Ambassador Al-Jarallah conveyed Kuwait’s congratulations to the Director-General on assuming her duties, emphasizing Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Organisation and supporting its efforts to implement the Chemical Weapons Convention, thereby contributing to the enhancement of international peace and security.

The statement noted that both sides reviewed ways to develop joint cooperation, with the Director-General expressing her pleasure and appreciation for the constructive role played by Kuwait within the Organisation, and her anticipation of continuing cooperation and coordination in the coming period.
