Al-Roumi: Kuwait keen on expanding its international partnerships

Kuwait’s Minister of Oil and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Tariq Al-Roumi, affirmed that Kuwait, represented by its oil sector, possesses accumulated expertise across various fields of the oil industry and is keen to leverage this experience to support international cooperation and build strategic partnerships that yield mutual benefits, expand the horizons of economic cooperation, and strengthen communication bridges with other countries.
The Ministry of Oil stated in a press release that this came during Minister Al-Roumi’s reception of Dr. Nurlan Tokubaev, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Kuwait, where they discussed enhancing bilateral relations and the prospects of cooperation in the oil and energy sectors.
According to the statement, Minister Al-Roumi highlighted the depth of the bilateral and economic ties between the two countries, reaffirming Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with various nations, particularly in vital sectors of shared interest, which contributes to supporting sustainable development and exchanging expertise and knowledge.
The statement noted that the meeting reviewed cooperation opportunities in the oil and gas sectors, alongside discussions on several topics of mutual interest and the exploration of mechanisms to enhance technical cooperation, exchange expertise, and benefit from Kuwait’s experience in developing oil industries and managing the oil sector to serve shared interests.
