$10 Billion in Chinese Investments in Egypt

Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouli stated during the third meeting of the ministerial committee for the China unit, which he chaired on Monday evening, that Chinese investments in his country exceed $10 billion, through a large number of companies operating across various sectors. This reflects the confidence of the Chinese business community in Egypt’s investment climate and the promising opportunities the state provides to investors.

Meanwhile, Egyptian sources reported that the Central Bank of Egypt received new financing of $1.8 billion from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), following the IMF Executive Board’s approval to complete the seventh review of the Extended Fund Facility program and the second review of the Resilience and Sustainability Facility program.

In a service to Egyptians abroad, Deputy Minister of Housing for Urban Communities, Engineer Walid Abbas, said that the Ministry of Housing attaches great importance to developing the “Home of the Nation” and “Your Home in Egypt” programs, considering them among the most important bridges of communication with Egyptians living abroad.

He added that, in response to the strong demand for the eleventh tranche of the “Home of the Nation” program, it was decided to expand the current phase, increasing the total number of land plots offered to 15,500, up from 4,543. This aims to enhance opportunities for Egyptians abroad to acquire land in new cities and accommodate the growing demand for the program. Currently, preparations are underway to launch the third phase of the “Your Home in Egypt” program.
