"Enhancing Activities" ... Between the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters and the Writers' Association

To activate and enhance joint cultural activities between the two sides, the Secretary-General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, Dr. Mohammed Al-Jassar, received the board of directors of the Kuwaiti Writers Association, led by the association’s Secretary-General, Abdullah Al-Basais, at his office. The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Council, including Assistant Secretary-General for the Culture Sector Aisha Al-Mahmoud and Director of the Culture Department Dalal Al-Fadli, along with members of the association: Jamila Al-Sayed Ali, Afrah Al-Hindal, Lujein Al-Nashwan, and Saad Al-Ahmad.
The meeting aimed to enrich Kuwait’s cultural landscape, as the Kuwaiti Writers Association presented a number of diverse, distinctive, and purposeful cultural projects designed to elevate the services provided to writers and intellectuals across all fields.
During the meeting, the proposed ideas were discussed and ways to implement them were explored in line with the policy announced by Dr. Al-Jassar for the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, which holds that advancing culture is a collective responsibility requiring the mobilization of energies and the integration of roles to consolidate Kuwait’s cultural standing and its regional leadership.
It is worth noting that the memorandum of understanding for cultural cooperation signed between the Council and the Association in 2021 underscores the joint cooperation between the two parties in literary and cultural aspects, aiming to advance the cultural sector with confidence and creativity.
