Government Schools... Specifically for the Creative
In line with its efforts to implement the “Kuwait 2035” vision and build a knowledge- and innovation-based economy, Kuwait places investment in human capital, particularly among youth and students, at the forefront of its priorities. This approach is grounded in the belief that cultivating a generation equipped with knowledge, skills, and creative capacity constitutes a fundamental pillar for shaping the future and achieving sustainable development.
Within this framework, the government is advancing the development of an integrated system to identify promising national talents and nurture gifted individuals from early educational stages. This involves providing a specialized learning environment that enables students to develop their abilities, refine their skills, and transform their talents into productive forces that will contribute to the nation’s development trajectory.
The Council of Ministers endorsed the initiative by the Ministry of Education, following its review of a presentation delivered by Minister Jalal Al-Tabtabaee during a meeting held last June. The project, part of the education sector’s strategic plan, embodies the ministry’s vision of building a creative generation endowed with skills that support the realization of the “Kuwait 2035” vision. This vision is pursued through an integrated system comprising scientific mechanisms for identifying gifted students, specialized enrichment programs and curricula, qualified teaching staff, and a supportive school environment that fosters excellence and creativity.
As a significant step in this project, informed sources told Al-Rai that two newly constructed schools, built to the highest technical and educational standards in the West Abdullah Al-Mubarak area—one for boys and the other for girls—have been selected. Each school will be dedicated to hosting gifted students within a specialized educational environment that addresses their academic and creative needs. The schools will feature advanced infrastructure and modern educational facilities designed to support the project’s objectives and provide a suitable setting for nurturing gifted students and developing their capabilities.
The platform aims to establish a comprehensive digital hub for managing all operations related to the gifted students’ schools project. This includes procedures for identifying and registering gifted students, monitoring their educational progress, enhancing communication channels with parents, and delivering project-related services and information through an integrated electronic system.
