931 million KD in stock market gains over two sessions

The Kuwait Stock Exchange posted strong gains during Monday’s session, with the market capitalization of listed companies rising by approximately 702 million dinars, or 1.3%, to reach 53.346 billion dinars, up from 52.644 billion at the close of Sunday’s session. This brings the total market capitalization gains to nearly 931 million dinars over two sessions since the start of the week.
The market capitalization of First Market-listed companies rose by 0.55%, equivalent to 241 million dinars, reaching 44.06 billion dinars, while the Main Market’s market capitalization jumped by 5.22%, or about 461 million dinars, to reach 9.286 billion dinars.
The positive market performance was supported by signs of easing geopolitical tensions in the region, which boosted investor sentiment and drove buying activity across various sectors.
Ten sectors posted gains, led by the insurance sector with a rise of 50.24%, followed by the technology sector at 8.1%, and the consumer goods sector at 1.8%.
Conversely, three sectors declined, led by the healthcare sector down 1.2%, followed by basic materials at 1.1%, and industry at 0.31%.
