Al Salam Charity: 2,000 beneficiaries of “Ibsar” in Yemen
The Al Salam Association for Humanitarian and Charitable Work announced the completion of the first and second phases of its “Ibsar” project, which performs eye surgeries to restore sight to patients in Yemen. More than 2,000 surgeries have been carried out, benefiting over 2,000 patients, with plans to continue implementing new phases of the project in the coming period.
Hamad Al-Awn, the association’s general manager, stated that the “Ibsar” project is among the most important health initiatives undertaken by the association, having benefited a large number of eye patients.
Al-Awn added that the cost of each surgery amounted to 40 Kuwaiti dinars. The project has received substantial support from generous donors and benefactors in Kuwait and sister Gulf countries, reflecting their strong confidence in Al Salam Association for Humanitarian and Charitable Work and its leadership.
In a separate development, Al-Awn announced that the association continues to implement its fourth “Al Salam Village” charitable and developmental project in Yemen. Launched on February 14, the project has recently completed preparatory works, laid the ground foundations and infrastructure for all facilities, finished construction activities, and drilled artesian and surface wells to serve the village.
He clarified that the entire village is funded by donations from people in Kuwait and the Gulf region, and it is scheduled to be inaugurated next year, God willing, immediately upon completion of construction and finishing works. He emphasized that the village represents a new milestone in the association’s charitable and developmental efforts, aiming to leave a lasting impact.
He stressed the association’s commitment to documenting its projects, in support of the principle of transparency in project implementation, to provide an accurate picture of charitable work and enhance the trust of generous donors.
