Dr. Abeer Al-Kandari Honored for Saving a Child from Drowning

The award was presented in recognition of her swift intervention at the accident scene, where she immediately initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation in accordance with approved medical protocols, successfully restoring the child’s vital signs before ambulance teams transported him to the hospital for further necessary medical care.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health emphasized that rapid response, sound judgment, and adherence to scientific principles in managing emergency cases represent essential human and professional values that every healthcare practitioner should embody. He noted that such incidents highlight the importance of readiness and expertise in handling critical situations when needed.
