As part of its ongoing efforts to empower youth and develop their leadership and innovative skills, Luyaa Foundation announced the conclusion of the 11th edition of the “kun” social entrepreneurship program, organized in collaboration with Babson College, a globally leading institution in entrepreneurship. The program was conducted in two sessions: the first from June 28 to July 11, and the second from July 19 to August 1, benefiting 68 young men and women aspiring to be future entrepreneurs.

The program was sponsored by National Bank of Kuwait, Zain Kuwait, and Markaz, with training activities held at Luyaa’s new headquarters in Aisha School. The closing ceremony took place at the Shadi Al-Khalij Theater within the school, after which participants presented their final projects to the public at The Avenues Mall, showcasing innovative entrepreneurial initiatives aimed at addressing real environmental and community challenges.

Ninjar Al-Qams, Programs Director at Luyaa Foundation, emphasized: “When we look at what was achieved in the ‘kun’ program this summer, success is not measured solely by the number of projects or the quality of presentations, but by the personal growth of the participants. Young people who entered the program did not know each other, yet they left with genuine friendships and business partnerships built on mutual trust. They transformed their concern for their community into meaningful social projects with tangible impact. These gains would not have been possible without the support of our partners and their belief in our vision for youth in Kuwait.”

On his part, Yaqoub Al-Baqer, Assistant Vice President of Public Relations and Events at National Bank of Kuwait, stated: “We at National Bank of Kuwait are proud of our strategic partnership with Luyaa Foundation and the distinctive programs it offers. The ‘kun’ program holds a special place for us, as it provides significant benefits to youth by helping to prepare an entire generation aged 11 to 16 to innovate practical solutions that benefit society.”

In a related statement, Hamad Al-Sand from the Community Partnerships and Youth Empowerment Team at Zain Kuwait said: “The ‘kun’ program reflects the essence of our long-standing strategic partnership with Luyaa. In the projects of this edition, we observed a distinctive level of awareness, ambition, innovation, and teamwork, reinforcing our confidence that investing in these talents today contributes to preparing a generation more ready to lead Kuwait’s future and participate in building a knowledge- and creativity-based economy.”

Saud Al-Salimi, Marketing and Public Relations Officer at Markaz, added: “We at Markaz are proud to support the ‘kun’ program for the 11th consecutive year, driven by our belief that investing in youth is investing in Kuwait’s future.”
