Al-Amiri: Preparing for a youth song... and getting ready for 'Kuwait Riyad Kuwait 2'
Artist Shamlan Al-Omairi revealed his upcoming artistic projects, noting that he is preparing to record a new song composed by himself.
He also announced that he will soon begin filming the second part of the series “Kuwait Riad Kuwait,” under the direction of Ahmed Shafik. He added that “the work is a beautiful comedy that I truly enjoyed, and many are waiting for the second part. Filming is scheduled to start very soon, as the series enjoys significant viewership across the Gulf region, particularly in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
He further stated, “The character of (Naif), which I portray, is very close to my heart, especially since I deliver it in the Bedouin dialect. It is a new experience for me, as I am tackling this type of role for the first time. The cast brings together a group of stars, including Fawaz Al-Attiyah, Mohammed Al-Rumaihan, Nora Al-Omairi, Yasmin, Ibrahim Al-Shaikhli, Layali Dahrab, along with several other artists. The series is written by Ali Al-Duhan. I say to the audience: ‘Wait for the second part, which will feature plenty of spontaneous comedy and new events.’”
Al-Omairi also mentioned that he recently finished filming the cinematic movie “Miss Ann,” directed by Nasser Al-Bloushi. He expressed his happiness at undertaking his first cinematic experience, adding, “This is my first experience in cinema, and honestly, I enjoyed it. I also liked seeing myself on the big screen, and I consider it an enjoyable milestone in my artistic career. I hope to repeat it in the future.”
He continued, “I extend my thanks to actress Ilham Al-Fadl and actor Shahab Jowhar for choosing me to participate in the film. The character I portray is very realistic, and I lived part of it in my personal life, so I felt a strong connection to it. I also do not forget the wonderful crew and the great efforts made by director Nasser Al-Bloushi and all the participants who enriched the film with their presence, including Dr. Tariq Al-Ali and Mohammed Al-Hamli, along with a group of young stars who excelled in their roles.”
In conclusion, Al-Omairi did not hide the existence of several new artistic agreements, saying, “There are agreements on other projects, whether seasonal works or a production prepared for the holy month of Ramadan. We are still in the agreement stage, and I hope these projects will see the light of day soon.”
