England, Wales, Serbia, and Sweden withdraw support for Infantino's candidacy

The British Press Association (PA Media) reported that the English Football Association would contact FIFA to explain the reasons for withdrawing its support for Infantino, while the football associations of Wales, Serbia, and Sweden announced their positions in an official statement.

Also on Saturday, CONCACAF, which represents 41 countries in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean, called for a comprehensive review of Infantino’s management. UEFA and CONCACAF together comprise 96 member nations.

Infantino had previously offered the 211 member associations of FIFA $40 million each in exchange for their support of proposals aimed at attracting private investment in FIFA competitions, including the men’s and women’s World Cups.

However, the FIFA president was forced to abandon his plan following a widespread wave of anger led by three continental football confederations.
