Al-Anzi boycotts "Montenegro's Hand" match against Israel

National handball coach Waleed Al-Anazi announced his decision not to accompany the technical staff of the Montenegro national team in their upcoming match against Israel, scheduled for Wednesday, as part of the European Under-18 Championship being held in Serbia.

Al-Anazi, who serves on Montenegro’s technical staff, clarified that fundamental principles and human values remain above all other considerations, regardless of the importance of sporting or professional tournaments. He emphasized that his stance reflects his personal conviction and ethical commitment to the Palestinian cause.

In a statement, he said, “No matter how significant sporting events and professional tournaments may be, fundamental principles and human values always take precedence. This position of mine is a testament to my history and a message I have always been proud to uphold.”
