Al-Yahya qualifies for the Asian Powerlifting Championships

Kuwaiti sprinter Yaqoub Al-Yoha secured his qualification for the 27th Asian Athletics Championships, to be held in the Chinese city of Xiamen from May 25 to 30, 2027, after finishing third in the 110-meter hurdles at the Belgium International Meet, one of the events in the Diamond League Bronze series.

Al-Yoha recorded a remarkable time of 13.50 seconds, which is his best performance of the season.

Meanwhile, runner Midaawi Al-Shammari finished third in the 100-meter final at the Izmir International Meet, clocking a time of 11.90 seconds.
