Governor of Mubarak: August 2 is a day of sacrifice and loyalty to the homeland

The Governor of Mubarak Al-Kabeer and the Acting Governor of Hawalli, Sheikh Sabah Badr Al-Salim, emphasized that the Kuwaiti people’s steadfastness during the brutal Iraqi invasion and their unity around the legitimate leadership demonstrated the strength of the bond between the ruler and the ruled. In difficult times, the Kuwaiti people showcased their resilience and loyalty, writing some of the most remarkable stories of sacrifice and devotion to their beloved homeland, Kuwait.

The governor affirmed the heroic stance embodied by the sons of the Kuwaiti people through their solidarity, sacrifices, and perseverance in defense of their nation’s freedom and in support of the political leadership. He noted that Kuwaitis displayed extraordinary bravery and sacrifice, setting exemplary models of resilience, which proved to the world the steadfastness of the Kuwaiti people. This resolve inspired fraternal and friendly nations around the globe to support Kuwait’s sincere positions, culminating in liberation and the restoration of rights to their rightful owners.

Sheikh Sabah Al-Salim prayed to God Almighty to protect Kuwait and its people from all harm under the leadership of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah; and His Highness the Prime Minister, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Salim Al-Sabah, and to have mercy upon Kuwait’s righteous martyrs.
