Governor of Farwaniya: Kuwaitis wrote the finest examples of loyalty and belonging during the brutal invasion

The Governor of Farwaniya, Sheikh Adbi Nasser Al-Adbi Al-Sabah, affirmed, on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the brutal Iraqi invasion of the State of Kuwait, that the Kuwaiti people have set the finest examples of resilience, loyalty, and steadfast commitment to their leadership and its legitimacy. He noted that this anniversary demonstrated to the world a model of unity and strong cohesion between the Kuwaiti people and their wise leadership, which we take pride in.

The Governor of Farwaniya clarified that August 2 has ingrained in the minds of Kuwaitis the values of loyalty, belonging, and resilience in the face of the brutal aggression. He emphasized that the firm cohesion witnessed today between the Kuwaiti people and their political leadership in confronting various current regional and international challenges is a natural extension of the historical relationship that manifested in its highest forms during the brutal Iraqi invasion and the subsequent successive crises. He added that commemorating this anniversary annually is a tribute to the sacrifices and bravery of Kuwait’s heroic champions and noble martyrs, who gave their lives to defend the soil of our beloved nation.

The Governor recalled the historic stance of sister and friendly countries, which embodied the meaning of respecting international law and standing by international legitimacy until liberation. He affirmed that this stance has become immortal and unforgettable in the consciousness of the Kuwaiti people. He prayed to Almighty God to protect our beloved country, both its leadership and its people, and to perpetuate upon Kuwait the blessings of security, safety, and continued development and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
